Encrypted before it is saved

Can the people who run Nerdy Pastor read my records?
Your records are encrypted with a key unique to your account, and the site has no tool for reading them. With standard protection, that key is locked by our server so you can reset a forgotten password, which means someone with full control of the server could, in principle, unlock it. Turn on the optional private vault and your records are locked with your own password instead, so nobody but you can read them. More about privacy and encryption.
Can I download a backup of everything?
Yes. Download a full backup as one ZIP file at any time: people, care notes, prayer requests, sermons with their documents, letters, and certificates. You can also download one person's complete care record as a PDF or plain text. More about backups.
Will follow-ups show up on my Google, Outlook, or Apple calendar?
Yes. Add any follow-up with one click, or subscribe once with a private link and every follow-up appears as "Follow-up with [name]" with a link back to your notes. Notes never go to your calendar. You can also get a reminder email the morning a follow-up is due. More about calendars and reminders.
How is my account protected?
Encrypted records, a secure connection, automatic sign-out, and optional two-step sign-in with a passkey (Touch ID, Face ID, or Windows Hello) or an emailed code. More about security.
